(Tweet this article!) Just like with every Apple release, the hype and build up to product launch days are never disappointing. With last month’s Apple conference and the announcement of the new iPad, Apple fan-boys and loyalists alike were already lining up to get their hands on the new device.

But after the hype dies down and the consumer reviews are in, us common technology folk ask ourselves if the new “toy” is worth the upgrade, or even the venture into the tablet market all together.

This time around, most of the new features to the iPad seem to be upgrades to their already existing technology – such as a larger retina display, new A5X quad core processing chip, iSight 5-megapixal camera, and the 4G LTE wireless network integration. On the surface it seem like this is just the iPad 2 on steroids, but when you combine all of these new features into one tightly knit package, the doors it opens for how we conduct business is nothing short of the type of innovation we have come to expect from Apple.

(Retweet this Article!) With mobile usage on the rise, our team has been hard at work developing a mobile app for The Enterprise network. And after several months of testing, we’re happy to announce that our first Android app will be released very soon!

The free app gives customers access to a variety of different search options, making it easier to search for homes on-the-go. Search functionality available through the app includes:

  • Journey Search
  • Perimeter Search
  • Scope Search

Customers will also be able to customize the app to a desired agent, ensuring all inquiries go directly to their chosen realtor. In addition, all data saved through the app is automatically tied to each customer’s account,  ensuring a consistent experience when browsing properties on the brokerage’s website and on their mobile device.

Be sure to check back with us in the coming weeks as more information becomes available following the launch. Until then, here is a sneak peek!

Happy Birthday Panda: Google’s Search and Panda Update 3.3 on Link Evaluation

February 28, 2012

(Retweet this Article!) With the anniversary of Panda’s birth in February of 2011, Google announced it would be rolling out its latest Panda update along with a brief explanation of its 40 search updates. Since its launch last year, Panda has been updated several times with the intention to filter out low quality or “thin” content from its search, with the ultimate goal of providing users with the most relevant and useful content. This affected the ranking of many sites and undoubtedly caused internet marketers to rethink the quality of content they were putting out there.

This month’s Panda update seems to be fairly minor and similar to the Panda 3.2 update in January. Google stated that, “it’s a data refresh that will make it more accurate and more sensitive to the recent changes on the web.” While Panda is just one of over 200 different factors Google uses to rank pages, I think the update has a lot to do with the 40 other search changes mentioned, of which one in particular is worth mentioning.
