Once again, it’s been an eventful month for the Active Enterprise Network. From the launch of Turpin Real Estate’s new website to the redesign of Charles Reinhart Company Realtors‘ existing site, Network Members are staying busy!

Active Community:Building Your Local Brand

This week, Active Community wants to bring your attention to the importance of building your local brand. A crucial element of this is deciding what you want your message to be. Because there are so many ways to communicate, it’s necessary to develop a strategy for how you’re going to attack this.

In order to successfully build your brand, there are a few things you need to consider. First of all, you need to create an online presence. In today’s competitive market, what you say online is just as important – if not more – than what you say offline. In order to better position ourselves on the web, we need to take a closer look at our offline networks. This is a great resource to tap into, but is often times overlooked. Reach out to your local community groups, trade groups,etc. and bring these people online with you. It’s not just important to build a global online community -  it’s important that you’re communicating with the the right people.

It’s been an exciting year for the Enterprise Network so far! With 2010 plans in place, we’re all working hard to make this year even better than the last.  This being said, we want to remind everyone to check out the Active Newsroom for highlights of our achievements throughout the year. Only into the second week in February – we’ve already announced the inclusion of Turpin Real Estate into the Network, The Danberry Company’s release of our inquiry management system and the addition of the Active RE Rewards program into two more markets.

Active Community: Understanding the Search Demand Curve

It’s Friday, which means another video presentation from the Active Community. This week’s focus is based on a very important topic in the technology industry – understanding the search demand curve. For those of you not familiar with this term, it is a way for you to assess your keyword ranking. Being aware of the specific terms that are driving users to your site is essential in creating a successful SEO plan. Not only that, but these keywords are a great way to increase quality content on your site as well. Ebby Halliday guest appears on the Fox News Channel

Ebby Halliday, founder and chairman of the board for Ebby Halliday Companies, traveled from Dallas, TX to New York City to make an appearance on The Huckabee Show that aired last Saturday on the Fox News Channel. Ukulele in hand, this soon to be 99-year-old woman didn’t miss a beat.

Ebby went on former Arkansas Governor and presidential candidate’s talk show to discuss the company’s 65th anniversary, her real estate journey and her book, Ebby Halliday: The First Lady of Real Estate. Having yet to retire, Ebby has been influential in the real estate industry.

Ebby’s guest appearance was reported as the highest rated segment from that night’s show and the responses have been pouring in ever since.
