Blogging is one of the many venues for Social Networking. Blogging offers many benefits. It is a great SEO tool, as it drives organic search engine traffic, creates recurring traffic and is a great source for optimized keyword placement. It is tangible/ measurable through online analytics, helps create brand awareness and offers the opportunity to create your own voice. We encourage all of our Enterprise members to host a brokerage blog, and as a coming strategy will be working on creating blogs for each members relocation department. Green Real Estate generally means selling homes that focus on green initiatives like renewable energy. These homes range from strawbale and cob houses to solar homes. Now there is another green initiative related to the Real Estate Industry. This green initiative is focused on moving. More specifically cardboard boxes!

I came across this great article on Smartmoney.com that I thought I should share. In a market where low home prices, big inventory and great tax benefits are luring first-time buyers into the market, there are some mis-steps occurring. Excited by the venture of shopping and purchasing a home, Smart Money came up with the 10 common mistakes that first-time home buyers are making. Below is an abbreviated version of their list.
- Not knowing how much house you can afford: One of the first things buyers should do is talk to a qualified lender and get pre-approved for a mortgage
- Assuming foreclosures are great deals: Weigh the costs of fixing up the property against the savings you’ll likely reap buy buying a lower-priced foreclosure home

One of the newer applications on Facebook that was just pointed out to me comes from eListit. This new app comes at a cost of course…but you can try it free for 14 days. We always talk about the benefits of social networking, and we are generally talking about networking with people and creating relationships.
