Last week, The Active Enterprise Network discussed emerging technologies and prominent trends in the Real Estate Industry at The Active Enterprise Network Annual Conference.![]()
Held October 5-7 in downtown Denver, the conference focused on bridging the gap between several areas of business in order to improve the way we communicate and effectively use technology online.
Over the next several weeks, we will be taking an in-depth look at conference sessions and major takeaways from the event. For Network members unable to attend, we will be releasing videos from the conference as they become available.
This year’s conference served as an open forum that gave members the opportunity to come together and discuss how to implement the latest technology and recognize issues that are hindering our industry. To remain at the forefront of innovation, we highlighted new releases on The Enterprise Platform that will increase the efficiency of our brokerages, the necessity of implementing these features and the importance of establishing a training program for increased adoption.
To kick off our conference blog series, we wanted to showcase the following video highlighting the evolution of communication and the importance of adopting new technologies in order to be successful in today’s market. This video helped set the stage for the rest of our conference as we focused on the importance of innovating into the future. Technology is constantly changing, and if you don’t adapt, you can be sure your competition will.
With representatives from each member of The Active Enterprise Network in attendance, the video was followed by our keynote address with renowned speaker, Ze Frank. Ze began the conference by discussing how to engage with customers online and strategies we can employ as real estate brokerages to connect with our local audiences.
In addition, members heard from other guest speakers including Rob Ousbey from Distilled, LLC and Becky Carroll from Verizon. Leading The Network in a session on Search Engine Optimization, Rob discussed how personalization will impact page rank and other SEO trends for 2012.
Following Rob’s discussion, Becky spoke about the importance of increasing collaboration among members and sharing ideas throughout The Network. Her presentation also focused on creating a sense of community with our customers and how it can help take our business to new heights.
During the three day event, several Network members had the opportunity to present as well. Members covered a wide array of topics including their strategies for increasing brand recognition through community involvement, what the future of real estate looks like in 2030 and how market intelligence reports can help members gain a competitive advantage. Other topics included listing presentation best practices, re-thinking the traditional work space and issues related to syndication and the MLS.
The conference ended Friday with the announcement of The Active Enterprise Network Choice Awards that highlighted members excelling in various areas of their business.
All in all, our conference was a huge success and we want to thank all our members who were able to attend. Please check back with us over the next several weeks as we discuss major takeaways from this year’s event! Tomorrow, we will discuss taking action when it comes to syndication.
