While all Active Enterprise Network websites have been optimized for mobile devices, the capabilities within that functionality have recently been pushed to the next level. Over the past few months the team at Active Website has developed new features for that already important platform, making it more user-friendly. These additional enhancements include:
Smoother Search Results
Now when a user searches for new property they can do so by geolocation and non-geolocation. This gives each user the capability to search within their current proximity (based on GPS) simply by clicking “Nearby Homes for Sale.” The new Advanced Search Options allows for the refinement of search criteria all on a single page. In addition, the new release allows users to toggle between map and non-map (list) results, all of which have been optimized to load faster than previous versions. (more…)
At this year’s Active Enterprise Network Annual Conference, members from around the country gathered to discuss the latest technology trends and how to implement them into their business strategies. The conference focused on being an independent brokerage in today’s market and the importance of adopting innovation in order to stay ahead of the curve. The event also reiterated the importance of meeting the demands of our customers and what that means for the success of our brand. For those who were not able to attend, check out our highlight video below.
In the mid-1960s when The Beach Boys were at the peak of their game, songwriter Brian Wilson came under a lot of pressure from his father, Murray, to do things his way. To remedy the situation the band allowed him to work the mixing board during recording sessions, giving him the power to EQ the songs to his liking. But, what Murray Wilson didn’t know was this: his mixing board wasn’t connected to anything. He perceived changes to the acoustics with each turn of the knobs, but nothing was actually being changed. Simply by being in a position of authority he believed he was in control of something he wasn’t.
This illusion of control is the backbone of the agent-centric model. By empowering the agent to set their own standard of customer response the brokerage actually loses control over their business. It may seem otherwise to the brokerage – after all, they are making the decision to empower the agent. But, sometimes making a decision only appears to be control. Sometimes you’re just turning a knob.
I come to you today with an important challenge. At this year’s Active Enterprise Network Annual Conference, we focused on being an independent brokerage in today’s market. In an effort to symbolize what this means, we gave each of you a company flag to celebrate your freedom and independence. Having the ability to fly your own flag and decide the direction of your company is what makes you unique and sets you apart from the national franchises (along with many other reasons of course!).
Now, if you’re like us, you’ve hung your flag where everyone can see it, perhaps in a hallway or on the mast of your company battleship. Today however, we’re challenging you to take this one step further. The Active Enterprise Network is hosting a flag photo contest and we want to see pictures of you and your flag having an adventure together – more specifically, having an adventure that makes you proud to be an independent brokerage. We want to see you and your flag at local monuments, community-centric points of interest or any place that makes your city special. A winner will be chosen from the submitted pictures and that company will receive 5 FREE hours that can be used toward enhancements to their site! (See Contest Rules below for more details.)
In today’s real estate world, the ability to adapt is crucial to the success of our business. Adopting new methodologies and technologies, and styling our websites to meet the natural intuition of the average user are an absolute must. The Group, Inc. – the longest standing member of The Active Enterprise Network – understands this necessity. As a result, we are proud to announce that they have signed on with our network for four more years!
In addition to extending their stay with The Enterprise Network, The Group’s website received a new redesign in order to create a sleeker, tighter site that incorporates new technologies that meet the needs of today’s consumer. Some of these enhancements include:
