RealtyTrac, the ultimate go to source for Foreclosure information recently released their “U.S. Metro Foreclosure Market Data” for 1st Quarter of 2009. Not surprisingly, the top twenty five cities with the highest foreclosure rates are specific to four states. The states include Arizona, California, Florida and Nevada. The report also shows that total number of foreclosures in the U.S. are 803,489 in Q-1. See the whole list here…
Of interest to us here at Active Website and our four Enterprise Members in Colorado, is the news that Colorado is finally off the top ten list for highest foreclosure rates. RealtyTrac online is a great resource for tracking foreclosure rates across the states. They even have a “Foreclosure Rate Heat Map” in the “Trend Center”. A quick registration to their site will show other graphs and charts on Foreclosure Activity as well.
Here is some of the information I gained while checking it out last Friday:
10 States with the Highest Foreclosure Rates:
- California
- Florida
- Nevada
- Arizona
- Illinois
- Georgia
- Ohio
- Michigan
- Texas
- Virginia
”Hot Foreclosure States”- States where consumers purchasing homes under foreclosure result in a large savings for the home buyer compared to non-foreclosure sales prices.
- Indiana
- Ohio
- Florida
- Iowa
- Pennsylvania
- Tennessee
- California
- Wisconsin
- Michigan
- District of Columbia
This site gets so specific that you can even look up individual states and counties, and cities. It is a MUST ADD tool to keep up to date on foreclosures in your area. Visit RealtyTrac online at www.realtytrac.com.
